Dear MTA, you ruined my Monday (and other ramblings)

The past week has been rough, with a capital "OUGH."

Thursday and Friday involved massive amounts of schlepping and running around, and everything seemed to go wrong, no matter how hard I tried to make it go right.

Saturday was mediocre, at best, and Sunday involved an extra show at the theater, which meant no evening of hanging with the cats and cleaning the house. Sunday also involved a large storm which rained sheets and sheets on NYC and made Monday morning a disaster of a commute. I absolutely love it when they stop running my train and don't bother to replace it with a shuttle of any kind. I love being soaking wet and slipping and sliding (and even falling)in the subway stations because the don't drain properly. I was just a very unhappy girl.

Today has gone fairly well, despite a rough start... I was in court this morning, and the courthouse had a fire drill. You know, 60 Centre St? The courthouse you've seen on Law and Order? yeah... we had a fire drill. I wasn't really dressed to stand outside in the cold weather for an hour, so I was frozen solid by the time it was over. Once I had my coffee, life was much better.

Oh, and I've declared today Alex and Addy's 2nd birthday - happy birthday kitties! We're not sure exactly when they were born - it was sometime around April 15-20, 2005. So now they're 2 year-old GIGANTIC healthy cats. I'm still trying to figure out what they're getting for their birthday tonight - more to come later on that.

Yeap, gotta say - I am NOT really missing NYC right now.

I think I'm going to open a flickr account and start putting some pictures up.

Did you see the crowds on 4/21/7? I could barely get to my subway after the last show on Saturday night. Shoulder to shoulder people moving one inch at a time. I missed my train because of it. Darned tourists. Ach.
